I have spent more than ten years teaching technology at the university level to students, teachers and faculty, have a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction with a major in Learning Technologies, and have provided outside technology training and support also for more than ten years. This means I have the teaching experience and the experience with change that working with technology requires. I have had to learn new programs and operating systems, learn new versions of the same programs, and relearn programs and computers many times in the last ten years, so I know what you're going through.
I offer individualized training in just what you want. I don't use programs' built in tutorials or other things you can do for yourself. I work with you one-on-one, on your computers, with the programs you want to learn. I can work with individuals or groups, in one-shot training sessions or extensive, well-planned and ongoing training. I am equally at ease working with individuals in their homes, businesses, and educational groups and institutions. I will tailor a plan to suit your needs at prices I think you will find more than reasonable.
My years in the field and wide range of experience means that not only do I have knowledge of a wide variety of software and hardware but also that I have learned how to learn new software and hardware. I bring that experience to both my planning and my training, making my training sessions fun, effective and most importantly useful. I design my own training materials based on my experience learning, using and teaching programs. Some examples for you to look at and use on an individual basis are linked to on the left.
